"This is grossly sexist and has no place in a video game that children play!"
Well then I guess kids shouldn’t be exposed to real life lions then.
"Children will take influence from these pokemon and get the wrong idea about gender roles!"
That’s why you teach children yourselves. That is literally the argument of ‘I can’t show my child a pride of lions because they’ll get the wrong idea about gender roles’.
You don’t fucking let one species of pokemon teach your child. Pokemon has much more important values to teach, loyalty, friendship, kindness and curiousity. You should take it into your own hands to teach your children about what’s right. Not leave it to a single pokemon breed.
"Lions sometimes have females that lead the pride!"
Maybe that happens with Pyroar too. Did you think about that.
"That’s subjecting the female gender to a weak, supporting role!"
Fucking excuse me? Protecting the kids is the most badass thing you could ever do. They’re not driving the kids to school or slaving over a hot stove as some stereotypes might indicate. They’re protecting the kids from harm.
Do you know how important that job is? If I see one more person claiming that 'protecting the young' is a weaker role then I would like you to put a small lion cub alone out in the wild and try to protect it from ravenous beasts yourself.
